Slam Dunk Robot

 Set in Sudbury against the backdrop of Science North and Alexander Public School, this short illustrated early chapter book shows the value of extra curricular activities in developing friendships between unlikely allies.  Jordan loves Lego  and wishes he were taller so that he could make the shots on his garage basketball net and so that Alex wouldn’t pick him to annoy all the time. When he joins the robot building team at Science North, doesn’t Alex show up too.  Is there nowhere Jordan can catch a break from the pest?  When neither of their robots seem to be able to make their basketball shots either, the two foes team up.  Science, technology, fun and friendship.  Available through Scholastic’s Literacy Place.
